The Story Behind the Artwork

Reborn” was inspired by a young boy named Chinaza, whom I met near my home. At only four years old, he spends his days collecting and selling scraps instead of being in school, a reflection of the harsh realities many children face. His story touched me deeply, and I wanted to give him, through my art, the life every child deserves. In the painting, I used soft greens to symbolize health and vitality, and colorful tones to express the innocence and joy of childhood. Butterflies and playful children appear in the background, representing freedom, hope, and the right to dream. “Reborn” is a visual prayer, a reminder that every child deserves a chance to live, grow, and shine beyond their circumstances.
