Mixed media on canvas, Created with limited colors no black, small yellow and red paints. Artist used spray paint for darkness + palette knife + pad to build texture and force life through. Strict light painting every beam you see was carved, sprayed and fought for. No soft brush. This light was earned. Rough texture, raw energy, honest hope. For anyone feels empty but still believes light can come.
The Story Behind the Artwork
I painted this when I had nothing. No black paint for darkness. No yellow for light. No red for fire. Only spray paint, small acrylic, palette knife, pad, and faith. So I sprayed the darkness first. Let it cover the canvas like my 7 months of wahala covered my life. Then I look my palette knife and pad and I SCRAPED. I carved. I fought. I forced light to appear. This is not gentle light. This is strict light painting. Light that had to be earned. Light that came from nothing. The texture you feel? That's hope . I didn't have colors, but I had a decision. Let darkness win , or make light from what I had. I'm selling "Light from nothing" because right now I'm still in that place trying to make light from nothing. If you buying paint.
