I made AFRICAN QUEEN because I wanted to see our culture wear a crown. The Ankara is not just cloth. It is history, energy, and identity gummed straight to the canvas. I gave her hair the shape of a crown because African women carry kingdoms on their heads every day. The black gives her strength. The green and lemon give her life. This Queen is for every woman who stands tall, beautiful and unshaken. She is home. She is power.
