This wall-mounted sculpture bridges generational artistry by blending organic textures with contemporary gloss. The body is hand-carved from wood with geometric patterns inspired by African masks, anchored by a smooth, dark resin face and woven with energetic copper lines. Its composition draws structural inspiration from traditional playing cards, representing cross-cultural storytelling, fate, and mystery. By combining wood, earth (resin), and metal, the artwork functions as a modern talisman bound together by the spiritual heritage and luster of copper. The piece carries a commanding presence that grounds any space it occupies. The contrast between raw wood grain and reflective resin creates an alluring mystery, inviting viewers into a silent dialogue of personal reflection and ancestral resonance.

The Story Behind the Artwork

Years ago, I encountered the mystical world of Tarot cards, and I have been utterly captivated by them ever since. What fascinated me was their extraordinary ability to communicate intricate, profound human stories through nothing more than ancient symbols, signs, and archetypal images. I marvel at how a single card can hold a universe of shifting meaning, speaking directly to the soul of whoever looks at it, precisely when they need it most in their lives. Driven by this fascination, I set out to translate that same enigmatic energy into a physical, three-dimensional form of my own making. I wanted to create an artwork that functioned just like a living card—a visual anchor that alters its meaning depending on the light, the room, and the moment in time you stand before it. True to the structural heritage of Tarot and traditional playing cards, balance is everything. This wall sculpture is the first installment of an exclusive, two-part masterwork diptych. As Volume II, this piece captures the essence of the Divine Masculine. It is intentionally designed to stand alone as a powerful individual statement, or to be paired eventually with its counterpart, Volume I: The Divine Feminine. Together, the two pieces complete a grand artistic cycle—a visual and conceptual balance of universal energies, making this acquisition a rare opportunity to own the foundation of an unfolding legacy.
