The very things that trigger our superstitions—evoking caution or repulsion—also have a powerful way of drawing us in. Darkness, low-vibrational energy, and encounters with the unsettling are universal parts of the human experience. I do not shy away from these themes in life or art; instead, I strive for balance. Creating a work like this is a deliberate act of confronting the uncomfortable, hidden, and taboo elements that society and our own minds often turn away from. The feelings, images, and symbols evoked here are valuable tools for mental growth, expanding our understanding and depth of meaning. Ultimately, this artwork explores humanity's capacity to create both wonderful and twisted things, and how those absurdities attract a corresponding response from the darkest corners of nature—or perhaps, it is the other way around.

The Story Behind the Artwork

When I conceptualized and created this piece, I was consuming a heavy amount of news media. It struck me that nearly everything I encountered boiled down to human greed, perversion, and our destructive nature overtaking the natural world. It deeply troubled me how a species possessing such immense power and capability could choose to operate primarily from its most base instincts. At the same time, I was reflecting on how nature inevitably responds to human hubris. We often trick ourselves into thinking we are in total control of this planet and the universe, believing we can act without consequence. Yet, history and reality offer constant warnings: our actions will ultimately trigger an equal and powerful reaction—a consequence we may not be strong enough to bear.
