Sanctuary of Peace In a world that never stops moving, there is one place where time grows quiet: a mother's arms. She lowers her head, closes her eyes, and the noise of the day falls away. Against her chest, her child sleeps, small and unafraid, his breath rising and falling with hers. Her hand cradles his head the way it has since the first day, with a love that needs no words. The colors of her wrap swirl around them, pink, teal, gold and blue, like a song only the two of them can hear. Behind them, a soft glow spreads outward. It is not sunlight but something older: the warmth of being wholly safe. She knows the world will ask much of him one day. For now, he has no need for strength or answers. He only needs to rest, because he is home. This is the first sanctuary every one of us knows. It has no walls and no doors, only a heartbeat and a quiet "I've got you." Long after we grow, we carry its peace within us and spend our lives looking for it again.
