In World Crown (2025), I explore the weight and wonder of consciousness. The figure is rendered with a strong, earthly torso — vulnerable, human, grounded. His head is not a face, but the planet Earth itself: blue oceans, green continents, a living world. Resting upon it is a golden crown set with light-blue orbs, a symbol of sovereignty, responsibility, and divine right to exist. The background is a dark cosmos exploding with color — hand-painted stars, spirals, moons, and floral bursts in pink, yellow, and blue. It represents thoughts, ideas, chaos, celebration, and the infinite universe we carry inside us. The work asks: What does it mean to be king of your own world? To hold the entire world in your head — its beauty, its chaos, its history — and still stand tall? This is a piece about mental sovereignty. In a time of information overload and global anxiety, the painting suggests that our mind IS a world, and we must learn to crown it, protect it, and rule it with intention. Painted in acrylic with a raw, textured finish, signed AWE '25 on the left side. It is both intimate and monumental — a work that speaks to spirituality, Afro-surrealism, and the power of the Black imagination
